Overview:An eight month old male presented to the hospital in respiratory distress due to diaphragmatic hernia and subsequently went into cardiac arrest and sustained anoxic brain injury. The plaintiff contended that the defendant hospital and physicians failed to properly treat and monitor the plaintiff vital signs, obtain correct laboratory studies, intubate, administer intravenous fluids as well as timely diagnose plaintiff's diaphragmatic hernia and treat plaintiff's cardiac arrest.

Personal Injury: Truck/Motor Vehicle
Overview:Plaintiff, a fifty-one year old male, was operating his motor vehicle in the City of St. Louis, Missouri when defendant failed to stop at a red light causing vehicle to strike the plaintiff's vehicle. Plaintiff sustained injuries to his head, neck, back and pelvis. Defendant failed to stop at said intersection in violation of a duly erected electrical signal, failed to yield the right of way, keep a lookout, failed to stop, slacken the speed of, swerve or turn his vehicle to avoid collision with the plaintiff.

Medical Malpractice: Childbirth/Shoulder Dystocia
Overview:Female baby suffered shoulder dystocia resulting in brachial plexus injury and shortening of the left arm due to birth trauma while under the care and delivery of the defendant physician group. The plaintiff contended that the defendant's physicians failed to properly treat and monitor the plaintiff's mother during prenatal care, failed to determine the correct fetal weight, failed to monitor her blood glucose levels and used excessive traction during delivery.

Medical Malpractice: Hypoxic Brain Injury
Overview:A thirty-six year old female presented to the hospital in cardiopulmonary distress and subsequently went into cardiopulmonary arrest under the care of the defendant hospital and defendant physicians. The plaintiff contended that the defendant hospital and physicians failed to properly diagnose plaintiff's cardiovascular status by echocardiogram, treat her lower blood oxygen saturation level and monitor her cardiopulmonary status by telemetry causing plaintiff to suffer injuries to her brain.

Medical Malpractice: Childbirth/Shoulder Dystocia
Overview:During labor and delivery, a newborn baby boy suffered birth trauma and injuries to his right shoulder and brachial plexus, requiring sural nerve harvest and grafts at the C-6 and C-7 level of his neck. The plaintiff contended that the defendant physician failed to apply suprapubic pressure, perform an episiotomy, rotate the anterior shoulder oblique, used excessive force and/or traction and failed to diagnose and treat plaintiffs' right shoulder dystocia.

Overview:84 year old nursing home resident in end stage renal disease suffered renal failure and death. Plaintiff contended that the nursing home staff failed to give plaintiff his prescribed diabetic medication as well as monitor his blood sugar levels which caused renal failure requiring dialysis and resulting in death.

Workers' Compensation: Permanent Total Disability
Overview:Employee injured his neck and right shoulder while moving a 55 gallon drum filled with heavy oil. The employer denied he was injured in the course and scope of his employment and did not provide medical care or temporary total disability benefits. Overview:A forty year old male was transferring tow and rigging gear from a towboat to a rigging barge, and was caused to sustain disabling injuries to his lumbar spine when he fell into an open manhole and/or port on the deck of rigging barge due to negligence of the defendant in failing to provide a safe place to work as well as follow and apply relevant United States Coast Guard Regulations of Operation for the Inland Waters of the United States.

Overview:A 53 year old female slipped and fell near a gas station entrance due to ice immediately in front of the entrance. Plaintiff suffered a comminuted displaced Colles' fracture of the left wrist. Plaintiff claimed the station attendants failed to adequately clear and salt the area.

Workers' Compensation: Permanent Total Disability
Overview:Employee injured his low back, left hip and left leg after losing his footing on a greasy or wet floor mat, causing him to twist his low back and left hip as a result of this incident. The employer denied he was injured in the course and scope of his employment and denied the employee medical care and temporary total disability benefits. The Employee underwent two low back surgeries and was unable to continue to work.
